Our Services
Piano Tuning
A piano’s pitch fluctuates for a number of reasons including changes in weather, humidity level, and how often the piano is used. We recommend having your piano tuned once every 6 months.
We regularly provide piano maintenance and services to top New York City concert venues, local and international artists as well as schools and private clients.
Pricing
We charge a flat rate of $200 + tax ($217.75 total) for a regular piano tuning appointment. A tuning takes approximately 60 minutes.

At Beethoven Pianos, we understand the reward of owning an acoustic upright or grand piano. Our team of expert piano technicians and staff are committed to the utmost care and service for your instrument.
Piano Action Regulation
The action parts within your piano will undergo changes over time through normal use, wear, changes in humidity levels, etc. An action regulation process adjusts and aligns the thousands of parts that make up the motion of keys.
A well regulated piano will have an increased touch response and an evenness of weight and depth across the keyboard.
Comparable to a smooth running car, piano action regulation maintains your piano’s moving parts at their best. Most upright pianos can be regulated in as little as a few hours, or longer, whereas grand pianos can require up to 6 to 10 hours to regulate, or more under heavy use.

Voicing/ Tone Regulation
Piano voicing improves the quality of your piano's tone
As you play your piano, the hammers hit the strings causing the hammer felt to harden and develop grooves over time. The hammer's felt will compact, wear down, and change in shape creating a harsh, uneven, and metallic tone in your piano.
Every piano possess it's own distinct voice or tone that can be modified by our expert piano technicians. Our technicians will manipulate the density of your hammers to accomplish your desired tonal personality within your piano.

Pitch Raise & Adjustments
An extreme change in piano pitch happens when a piano has not been tuned in a long time, or if the piano has experienced significant environmental changes such as temperature and humidity. If the pitch of a piano has moved far from concert pitch, then a pitch raise will be required. A substantial change in pitch presents significant changes in the overall tension of the strings and parts. A pitch raise is a series of 1 or 2 mini tunes to stabilize and equalize structural tension.
